The difference between an authorized and certified translation

 The certified translation contains the stamp of the authorized translator on the translated document and the statement that the document is translated from one language into another without errors or omissions. Documents related to immigration, contracts or birth certificates require a certified translation. Legal documents, such as a transcript, require a certified translation by a certified translator, whose identity is authenticated by a notary. Fortunately, can help you with both types of translation. Send your documents directly by email from the contact form. A translator may also certify someone else’s translation as long as the translator has fully revised the translation for accuracy and completeness and the translation will not be changed once it has been certified. Therefore, translation companies can certify translations provided by their employees or by freelance translators.

This means that a certified translator:

  • certifies the accuracy of the translation made from / into a foreign language;
  • certifies that the text submitted has been translated in full, without omissions;
  • certifies that, through translation, the content and meaning of the document have not been distorted.
